Cyber Spotter Programme 2.0 April 2024 Cyber Spotter Programme 2.0 is a key citizen scientist component of the Coalition to End Wildlife Trafficking Online. Empowering people to be part of the solution by helping to detect and report illegal online listings. Selected volunteers will undergo training to identify prohibited wildlife products online and report any suspicious content to WWF. WWF will review the listings and work with the participating members of the Coalition to End Wildlife Trafficking Online to take further actions. |

A Peek into a Civet’s Life in Urban Singapore. The Common Palm Civet is a nocturnal mammal that lives among us in urban Singapore. Ever wondered what civets eat? Are they important to the ecosystem? In addition to the knowledge on civets, you will also learn about other urban wildlife and what general etiquette to adopt to best admire and appreciate the rich biodiversity that we have in Singapore. |

Trees of the Fort Guided Tour. The Trees of the Fort guided tour takes you to beautiful trees at Fort Canning Park amidst a backdrop of lush greenery and rich history. Fort Canning Hill, on which the park sits, once housed a Malay Kingdom in the 14th century. It was also the place of residence for several governors and was even transformed into a fort in the 1860s. |

Fort Canning Galleries Guided Tour. Join us on a guided tour of the Fort Canning Heritage Gallery, which traces the rich history of the hill and showcases the rare artefacts found here. This tour will also take you to the Spice Gallery, which looks at the history of spices and spice traders in Singapore, and is nestled in Singapore's most diverse spice garden. |

Race Against Time - Science Behind a Botanic Garden Tour. This session introduces the research facilities at the Singapore Botanic Gardens such as the Library of Botany & Horticulture, Orchid & Micro-propagation laboratory and the Herbarium. Highlights of this 45-minute tour includes a visit to the Herbarium which stores physical records of reference plant materials, some dating as far back as 1790. In addition, learn about our hybridization programme for orchids, a process introduced back in 1930’s by the then Director, R.E Holttum. |

Marine Meanderings through Southeast Asia. Embark on a cinematic voyage that explores the historical, poetic and social ties surrounding marine life in a Southeast Asian context. The four short films each illuminate a distinct facet of the sea and its inhabitants– an animation of fishes and their poetic existence, a poignant documentary on the challenges faced by an Indonesian fisherwoman, an experimental video on the colonial histories lingering in the Malayan strait, and a look at crocodile mythologies in Sulawesi. Their narratives capture the diversity of human-nature relationships and the richness of marine life in our region. |

Invasive Species Management @ Rail Corridor Invasive plant species are a threat to our native ecosystems. They compete with our local flora for water, nutrients, and space, often resulting in a deterioration of native biodiversity. WWF-Singapore is organising monthly invasive species management sessions at Rail Corridor, where volunteers can help to remove weeds such as the Zanzibar Yam (Dioscorea sansibarensis). No experience is required - just come in comfortable attire and bring plenty of water! |

Book a Tree: Preserving Nature Through Photography Book-A-Tree is a movement to support NParks in their mission to plant 1 million trees around Singapore to further enhance its status as a garden city. The movement is supported by the sales of the book “God’s Own Design - A Photographic Journey Through Nature”. All proceeds from the book sales would be donated to the Garden City Fund’s Plant-A-Tree Programme. |

Rooted between Sea and Land: Mangroves in Singapore | Down to Earth Our garden city, dotted with urban forests and plentiful parks is also home to mangroves. These forests that thrives in the twilight zone between land and sea are our natural helpers in reversing and mitigating the impacts of climate change. However, these fragile habitats face the threat of development and rising sea levels. In this talk, learn more about the mangrove ecosystems in Singapore, hear about its inhabitants, and their critical role in addressing climate change challenges for Singapore and the region. |

Nature Appreciation Walk at Windsor Nature Park. Ideally situated at the perimeter of Central Catchment Nature Reserve,
the 75-hectare Windsor Nature Park is the gateway to the rich biodiversity
of the largest nature reserve in Singapore. The nature park was developed
as a green buffer to help reduce visitorship pressures and man-made disturbances
currently experienced by the nature reserve.
